About us
The Pods Factory was established by Robin Hagedoorn , creator of Bunk Hotels and Bram Breukers , an international furniture, hospitality and logistics expert. Bunk Hotels—an award-winning luxury hostel concept bridging the gap between hotels and hostels— served as the initial testing ground for what has become The Pods Factory.
We understand what travelers need, but more importantly, we’re experts in the operational, legal, hospitality and financial aspects of the business. Dealing with regulations that vary from country to country and even municipality to municipality. We have the expertise to guide you through these challenges.
Robin Hagedoorn explains
“When we started this business, we faced a myriad of questions—like for example how to ensure sufficient ventilation, ergonomics, regulations or what the ideal bed ratio would be. I’m glad we found the answers that are now helping others. Our support doesn’t end when the pods are installed. Even after the project is complete, you can always call us for help.”
Bram Breukers adds
“It took more than a year of experimenting before the perfect pod was born. When we finally created the right product, we had essentially created a pod factory. So, we decided to help other hosteliers venture into the future of hospitality, so they didn’t have to reinvent the wheel. And that’s how The Pods Factory was born.”
At The Pods Factory, we’re more than just a manufacturer—we’re creators of solutions. Born from our experience at Bunk Hotels, we pioneered compact, functional sleep spaces that combine privacy, comfort and efficiency.
